Weekend pick-up and drop-off zone trial to commence in Northbridge
From Friday 13 August, the City of Perth will commence a trial of a designated pick-up and drop-off zone on James Street, Northbridge, on Friday and Saturday nights between 5pm and 2am.
The trial will run for four-weeks in an effort to measure impact on traffic flow in the centre of Northbridge on weekends.
Eight existing parking bays will be repurposed as the pick-up and drop-off zone on James Street and allocated as 15-minute bays. The zone will be clearly signposted and monitored by City of Perth parking attendants.
The City of Perth has engaged with local businesses and rideshare services ahead of the four-week trial.
ENDS
The City of Perth acknowledges the Whadjuk Nyoongar people as the Traditional Owners of the lands and waters where Perth city is situated today, and pay our respect to Elders past and present.
