The Perth City Deal represents a landmark $1.66 Billion investment in projects and infrastructure that will transform our city.
Under this innovative and transformative 10-year partnership with the Australian and Western Australian Governments, a range of city-shaping projects are being jointly funded, planned and governed to accelerate growth, job creation, and urban renewal to secure and sustain future prosperity for our community.

Edith Cowan University
The $853 million investment by the Commonwealth Government, State Government and Edith Cowan University to move ECU's law and business schools, and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts into the Perth CBD. More than 10,000 students and staff are anticipated on campus from day one.

CBD Transport Plan
$157 million has been allocated to connect, activate and future proof Perth’s communities through cycling and walking infrastructure upgrades. The centerpiece of this initiative is the new $100m Swan River Causeway Bridge (pictured).

Tourism & Cultural Infrastructure
$154.7 million will be spent on redeveloping the WACA including a community aquatic facility.

Technology
$18 million will be invested in the establishment of the Australian Space Automation, AI, and Robotics Control Complex (SpAARC) in Western Australia. SpAARC will consist of three integrated facilities: a secure control center, a development and test center, and a training facility for terrestrial and space robotic operations.
The Complex will enable start-ups, small businesses, and researchers to control space robotics activities, such as satellite servicing, while generating new jobs and promoting additional investment opportunities.

Cultural and Community
$4 million to conduct a pre-feasibility study to locate an Aboriginal Cultural Centre in Perth on the traditional lands of the Wadjuk Noongar people.
A further $10 million towards a WA Indigenous Business and Employment Hub known as the Waalitj Foundation.
$74.4 million to provide facilities, safety improvements and services for homeless people in the city.
