TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES – EVENT: ANZAC Day, Friday 25th April 2025
The ANZAC Day Dawn Service & Parade is an annual community event organised by The Returned & Services League of Australia WA Branch (RSLWA) to pay respect and honor the men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice in conflict. The 2025 event returns on Friday 25 April.
Residents are reminded that limited, or in some cases, no access will be permitted once the roads are closed.
No unauthorised parking will be allowed within any closed roads and towing may apply in these areas.
Road Closures:
To maintain public safety, significant staged road closures are implemented on Friday 25 April between 2am – 9am (Dawn Service), 5am – 1pm (ANZAC Day March), plus, Mateship Lane on Irwin St (5am – 4pm). As a result, there is notable impact on local business and residents.
Dawn Service: 5am – 7.30am (King’s Park State War Memorial)
- Traffic and HVM Road Closures in place for DAWN SERVICE from 2.00am -9.00am (including carparks within closures)
ANZAC Day March: 9am – 11am (Starting from William Street, the parade moves east on St Georges Tce, then south on Victoria Ave, culminating at Langley Park for dispersal).
- Traffic and HVM Road Closures in place for ANZAC March from 5.00am – 1.00pm (including driveways and carparks within closures)
Mateship Lane: 5am – 4pm (Irwin St)
Towing:
- Unauthorised vehicles that remain parked within the road closures will be towed. There will be parking restrictions in place along the road closures and tow-away zones enforced.
On-street parking bay closures
- On-street parking bays within the closures will be closed until the removal of the ‘No Stopping’ notice hoods after the event, anticipated to be 9am (Dawn Service) & 1pm (Parade).
