Location: Geoffrey Bolton Ave and Elizabeth Quay inlet

Event date: Friday 25 September, Saturday 26 September, Sunday 27 September, Monday 28 September 2026

Event times: 7pm to 10pm nightly (short story on a loop)

The Story of Kooyar, presented by Development WA, is a free, family-friendly water screen event at Elizabeth Quay, bringing Noongar culture to life.

ROAD CLOSURES & TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Road closures and traffic controls will be in effect around Elizabeth Quay each event night for the safety of patrons and participants. The following apply from 6.00pm to 10.30pm, Friday 25 to Monday 28 September:

Geoffrey Bolton Ave full closure eastbound and westbound between Duchess and Enchantress

Advanced warning signage will be in place on approaches to the closure from 6.00pm each event night. All signage and devices will be removed from the roadway at the end of each night’s event: no aftercare is required.

LOCAL RESIDENT ACCESS & RESIDENTAIL PARKING

Residents are reminded that limited access will apply once the roads are closed. Access to all businesses and properties within the closure area will be always maintained, assisted by traffic controllers on-site. If you think this will affect you, please contact the number at the bottom of this notification. No parking will be permitted within the closure.

PEDESTRIAN ACTIVITY

Elizabeth Quay will experience high pedestrian activity each event night. Pedestrians, including vulnerable road users, will be monitored and assisted by traffic controllers and event staff throughout.
