Road Closure – EVENT – Freedom of Entry – Sunday 13 September 2026

Number 7 Wing Australian Air Force Cadets will be exercising their right of Freedom of Entry into the City, with a ceremonial parade. Featuring approximately 1,000 Air Force cadets, they will exercise their right to freely march through the city, an honour they were awarded by the City of Perth in April 2016.

Parade details:

Closure location: Barrack Street/Riverside Drive/Barrack Square
Parade route: as per map below
Road closure times: 8am – 9:30am
Event date: Sunday 13 September 2026

To facilitate the safe operations of the event, road closures will be in place along the parade route, with some temporary and hard road closures at junctions and driveways, with minor traffic and bus detours in place between 8am to 9.30am, as the Parade marches along the streets. Please see attached parade route map.

Parking restrictions

Street parking within the road closures will be unavailable with “No Stopping” hoods notifying from 7am on Sunday 13 September 2026. Please refer to the on-street parking signs for restrictions. Vehicles that do not comply with the restrictions will be infringed.
