The new pavilion now features three rooms available for community events and activities, with booking options soon to be available on the City of Perth’s website.

The upgraded public amenity also features enhanced toilet and change-room facilities, plus stunning views of the Swan River.

City of Perth Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas said sustainability was a key focus, with the reuse of the existing structure, the installation of solar panels, and a battery system powering the air-conditioned spaces.

“It’s fantastic to see the space redeveloped to meet the needs of the local community. Langley Park Pavilion reflects our commitment to creating inclusive, sustainable spaces that align with the community’s values. We’re excited to see this project come to life and add to the community facilities and amenity along our stunning riverfront,” Mr Zempilas said.

“With Perth’s population projected to grow significantly, outpacing other capital cities, and with a goal of reaching 55,000 residents by 2036, it’s more important than ever that we create spaces like the Langley Park Pavilion that can meet the future needs of our community.”

The toilets and changerooms have reopened for public use, with the rest of the Pavilion being put to first use to support event logistics for the City of Perth’s Australia Day celebration this long weekend. The bookable spaces at the Pavilion are set to come online for reservations in coming weeks.
