A more liveable City:
- 646 events and activations
- 750 hours of community activities and programming in being hosted at our facilities, including the newly upgraded bookable event spaces at Langley Park Pavilion
- Almost 27,000kms of cleaned streets and footpaths
- Around 20,200sqms of graffiti-free walls
- More than 31,000 tasks related to community safety and wellbeing
- 115,000 people enjoying New Year’s Eve activations at Elizabeth Quay and Northbridge
- 130,000 people attending our Lotterywest Boorloo Heritage Festival in April
- 295,323 visits to our Perth Library
- More than $600,000 in support costs for homelessness and outreach services at our Moore Street Accreditation Site
- Announced as a finalist to host the Gay Games in Perth in 2030 (which we later won in October 2025)
And received:
- Community Event of the Year for the Rio Tinto Christmas Lights Trail at the 2024 National Event Awards
- Silver Award for Excellence in Local Government Tourism at Perth Airport 2024 WA Tourism Awards
- Bronze Award for Festivals and Events for the Lotterywest Boorloo Heritage Festival at the Perth Airport 2024 WA Tourism Awards
A more sustainable City:
- Converted Hay Street East to two-way, improving the way people get around the city
- Saving all but three trees from the threat of the Polyphagous Shot-Hole Borer
- 43 pristine parks, gardens and reserves, including a playground upgrade at Harold Boas Gardens
- 606 new trees planted, adding to our urban canopy of around 20,000 street and park trees
- Saving the equivalent of 100 Olympic-sized swimming pools in groundwater thanks to our smart irrigation and stormwater harvesting systems
- 3,494 tonnes of waste recycled
- $170,000 in Heritage Conservation Grants committed for the conservation of a range of heritage properties
- Bid to host the 2026 World Energy Cities Partnership AGM and Conference in Perth (which we later secured in September 2025)
And received:
- UN Nations recognition as a Tree City of the World for the second year running
- 2024 Irrigation Australia National Award
- 2025 Platinum Waterwise Council of the Year Award
- Environmental Stewardship Award for our Thomas Street Biodiversity Corridor at the Parks and Leisure WA Awards
A more prosperous City:
- 31 consecutive months of record spend dating back to December 2022
- Visitation spend up 7.7 per cent on 2023/24 and 44.5 per cent on 2018/19
- Biggest December/Festive season on record, up 6.5 per cent
- Lowest CBD Office vacancy since 2015
- Biggest owner-operator parking business in Western Australia
- More than 90 City-managed buildings and facilities, and 91 commercial tenancies
- 435 planning determinations made to the value of $1.055B
- 580 building permits issued to the value of $1.034B
- Secured more than $2.6M in sponsorships for key events
- Committed more than $5.6M of our own sponsorship and grants, including $635,000 in Economic Development Sponsorship
And received:
- Venue of the Year for the Perth Town Hall at the 2024 Australian Event Awards
- Silver Award for Tourism Marketing and Campaigns for our Plateful Perth program at Perth Airport 2024 WA Tourism Awards
- Parking Organisation of the Year at the 2024 National Parking Industry Awards
A well-governed City:
- Delivered 96 per cent of Corporate Business Plan commitments on time and on budget
- Delivered 96 per cent of our $49M capital works and asset renewal program
- Major milestones reached for cornerstone $1.7B Perth City Deal projects, jointly funded by the Australian and WA Governments, and the City of Perth, including:
- The redeveloped WACA Ground’s new community recreational and aquatic facilities on schedule to open for summer 2025
- ECU city campus on schedule to open for first semester 2026
- Perth Concert Hall redevelopment commencing, on schedule to open for 2028
