Claisebrook Cove Upgrade
A Concept Plan has been developed to upgrade the existing public realm around Claisebrook Cove for residents, businesses, and visitors. The project focuses on retaining and enhancing the existing character of the Cove while addressing ageing infrastructure, disability compliant access issues, and improving available amenity.
The Concept Plan, which was adopted by Council at the 29 October 2024 Ordinary Council Meeting, proposes a two staged implementation process. The City is now working on delivering the detailed design for Stage 1. The two stages for implementation are outlined below:
- Stage 1 – Lake Area and Surrounds
- Stage 2 – Claisebrook Cove (Jetty works are contingent on State Government dredging. A commencement date on these works is yet to be confirmed)
What’s next?
- Detailed design for Stage 1, to be completed mid-2026.
- Construction for Stage 1, anticipated to commence late-2026 with completion by mid-2028.
