Temporary Road Closure - EVENT - Telethon Family Festival - Sunday 18 October 2026

The annual Telethon Weekend will be held on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October 2026, at RAC Arena. As part of the weekend a free family festival event will be held on Wellington Street on Sunday 18 October. The event will commence at 10am and will conclude at 4pm. The event is free to attend and is a great opportunity for the local community to be involved in Telethon festivities and free family-friendly entertainment.

Road Closures

To ensure that all participants can attend the event in safety there will be road closures in place around the RAC Arena.

Event Brief:

Location: Wellington Street, between Elder St and William St
Event Times: 10.00am to 4.00pm
Event Date: Sunday 18 October 2026
Roads Closed: 11.30pm (Saturday evening) –11.59pm (Sunday evening)

Towing:

Unauthorised vehicles that remain parked within the road closures may be towed. There will be parking restrictions in place along the road closures and tow-away zones enforced.

On-street parking bay closures

On-street parking bays within the closures will be closed until the removal of the ‘No Stopping’ notice hoods after the event. Please take note of the changes to signage in the area.
