TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE:
EVENT - Roy Hill New Year's Eve Celebrations – 31 December 2024

Event Location: Elizabeth Quay inlet, Barrack Square, and surrounds
Event times: 5pm to 1am
Event date: Tuesday 31 December 2024

The event will commence at 5pm with roving entertainment, workshops, carnival rides and food trucks and will feature two fireworks displays, one at the family friendly time of 8:30pm and one at midnight, to bring in the new year.

ROAD CLOSURES:
To facilitate the safe running of the event, the following road closures will be in place each night:

• 3:00pm to 02:00am
  • Geoffrey Bolton Avenue
  • Duchess Way
  • Enchantress Way
• 2:00pm to 02:00am
  • Barrack Square ring road
• 7:00pm to 01:00am
  • William Street and Birdiya Drive

TOWING:
To maintain public safety within the event space, vehicle towing will apply in Barrack Square from 2pm on Tuesday 31 December, until the removal of hoods.

LOCAL ACCESS
The City will ensure that impact to local residents and business is minimised and access to properties is maintained wherever possible, however, vehicle access to the above roads is not possible beyond 3pm. The Esplanade will NOT be closed at any point throughout the day.

CPP CONVENTION CENTRE
Please note if parking at CPP Convention Centre car park that the pedestrian and vehicle exit to William Street and Birdiya Dr will be closed during this event. Please exit via Mounts Bay Road and safely cross William Street at the pedestrian crossing.
