Road Closure - EVENT - Perth Running Festival - 11 October 2026

The Perth Running Festival 2026 will be held on Sunday 11 October 2026.

The event consists of four race distances: 4KM, 10KM, 21KM and 42KM. The 4KM, 21KM and 42KM race distances start and finish at Optus Stadium Park with the 10KM starting at Langley Park and finishing at Optus Stadium Park.

Road Closures

To ensure that all participants can complete the event in safety there will be road closures in place in your area.

Adelaide Terrace - Eastbound from Plain Street to Hay Street 3:30am – 7:30am
The Causeway - Eastbound 3:30am – 7:30am
Hay Street - Both directions from The Causeway to Braithwaite Street 3:30am - 11:30am
Braithwaite Street - Both directions 3:30am - 11:30am
Sailani Avenue - Both directions from Nelson Crescent to Nile Street 3:30am - 11:30am
Nile Street - Both directions 3:30am - 11:30am
Graham Farmer Freeway - Westbound from Great Eastern Highway 3:30am - 12:45pm
Mitchell Freeway - Southbound 4:30am - 11:30am
Kwinana Freeway - Southbound from Mitchell Freeway to Manning Road on ramp 4:30am - 11:30am
Birdiya Drive - Eastbound from Point Lewis Rotary to William Street 4:30am - 11:30am
William Street - Northbound from Birdiya Drive to The Esplanade 4:30am - 11:30am
Birdiya Drive - Westbound from William Street to Point Lewis Rotary 4:30am - 12:45pm
William Street - Southbound from The Esplanade to Birdiya Drive 4:30am - 12:45pm
Mounts Bay Road - Southbound from John Oldham Car Park to Point Lewis Rotary 5:30am - 11:30am

Victoria Avenue - Both directions from Terrace Road to Riverside Drive 7:00am - 11:30am
Barrack Square - Soft closure from 7:00am – 12:45pm with a hard closure from 9:20am – 10:05am
Barrack Street - Southbound lane from St George’s Terrace to Riverside Drive and northbound lane from Riverside Drive to Esplanade 7:00am - 12:45pm
Esplanade - Westbound from Barrack Street to William Street 7:00am - 12:45pm
Geoffrey Bolton Avenue - Both directions 7:00am - 12:45pm
Enchantress Way - Southbound (roadway is southbound only) 7:00am - 12:45pm
Duchess Way - Both directions 7:00am - 12:45pm
Boorloo Bridge - Closed to public pedestrian and bicycle traffic 7:00am - 12:45pm
City-bound bus ramp - Kwinana Freeway (northbound) 9:10am - 10:15am

Towing

Unauthorised vehicles that remain parked within the road closures may be towed. There will be parking restrictions in place along the road closures and tow-away zones enforced.

On-street parking bay closures

On-street parking bays within the closures will be closed until the removal of the ‘No Stopping’ notice hoods after the event. Please take note of the changes to signage in your areas.
