ANZAC Day Event - Thursday 25 April 2024

The ANZAC Day Dawn Service & Parade is an annual community event organized by The Returned & Services League of Australia WA Branch (RSLWA) to pay respect and honour the men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice in conflict.  The 2024 event returns on Thursday 25 April. 
Residents are reminded that limited, or in some cases, no access will be permitted once the roads are closed. 

No unauthorized parking will be allowed within any closed roads and towing may apply in these areas.

Road Closures:

To maintain public safety, significant staged road closures are implemented on Thursday 25 April between 2am – 9am (Dawn Service), 5am – 1pm (ANZAC Day March), plus, Family & Mateship (6am – 4pm). As a result, there is notable impact on local business and residents.

Dawn Service: 5am – 7.30am (King’s Park State War Memorial)

Traffic and HVM Road Closures in place for DAWN SERVICE from 2.00am -9.00am (including carparks within closures)

• Cliff Street / Mount Street
• St Georges Terrace - Milligan St to Malcolm St
• Havelock Street Northbound - Hay Street to Kings Park Road
• Havelock Street Southbound - From Wellington St to Kings Park Road)
• Fraser Avenue
• May Drive (from Saw Ave)
• Saw Avenue
• Wadjuk Way
• Kattidj Close
• Parliament Place (local traffic only)
• Harvest Terrace (local traffic only)
• Walker Ave - Rheola Street to Kings Park Road (local traffic only)
• Ventnor Ave - Ord Street to Kings Park Road (local traffic only)
• Outram Street - Ord Street to Kings Park Road (local traffic only)
• Altona Street - Ord Street to Kings Park Road (local traffic only)
• Colin Street - Ord Street to Kings Park Road (local traffic only)
• Ord Street - Colin Street to Havelock Street (local traffic only)

ANZAC Day March: 9am – 11am (Starting from William Street, the parade moves east on St Georges Tce, then south on Victoria Ave, culminating at Langley Park for dispersal).

• St Georges Terrace - William Street to Victoria Avenue
• Adelaide Terrace - Victoria Ave to Bennett Street
• Howard Street - The Esplanade to St Georges Terrace
• Sherwood Court - The Esplanade to St Georges Terrace (Local traffic only)
• Barrack Street - The Esplanade to Wellington Street
• Cathedral Ave - St Georges Terrace to Hay Street
• Pier St - St Georges Terrace to Hay Street
• Irwin Street - St Georges Terrace to Hay Street (Local traffic only)
• Laneway – St Georges Terrace to Hay Street (Local traffic only)
• Hay Street - Barrack Street to Victoria Avenue (Local traffic only)
• Victoria Ave - Riverside Drive to Hay Street
• Terrace Road – Perth Concert Hall to Bennett Street (Local traffic only)
• Murray Street - Barrack Street to Pier Street
• Hill Street-Hay Street to St Georges Terrace

Family & Mate ship event: 10am – 4pm (Langley Park)

Additional road closures in place for FAMILY & MATESHIP from 1.00pm -4:30pm
• Riverside Drive to Terrace Road 

Towing:

Unauthorized vehicles that remain parked within the road closures will be towed. There will be parking restrictions in place along the road closures and tow-away zones enforced.


On-street parking bay closures:

On-street parking bays within the closures will be closed until the removal of the ‘No Stopping’ notice hoods after the event, anticipated to be 9am (Dawn Service) & 1pm (Parade).
