LOCAL PLANNING POLICIES AND DESIGNATION OF HERITAGE AREAS
AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION
Draft Local Planning Policies
To support the draft Local Planning Scheme No. 3, the City has prepared draft Local Planning Policies to provide built form and design provisions for development within the city.
Designation of Heritage Areas and associated Local Planning Policies
The following heritage areas are proposed:
- East End Heritage Area;
- West End Heritage Area;
- Hay Street Mall Heritage Area;
- Barrack Street Heritage Area;
- Goderich Street Heritage Area;
- William Street Heritage Area; and
- Pier Street Heritage Area.
Plans and documents setting out and explaining the draft Local Planning Policies and designation of Heritage Areas have been published in the following manner:
- A copy of the plans and documents, including frequently asked questions, are available on the City of Perth website at yoursay.perth.wa.gov.au
- A hard copy of the plans and documents are available for inspection at Council House, 27 St Georges Terrace, Perth and the City of Perth’s Library, 573 Hay Street, Perth during business hours.
Submissions on the local planning policies and designation of heritage areas may be lodged in writing and should include the name of the policy or heritage area, the name and address of the person making the submission, the property affected and details of the submission and lodged with the undersigned on or before Friday, 25 September 2026.
