The City will be alive with green and gold on Saturday evening and well into Sunday morning, with Northbridge Piazza airing the Socceroos’ World Cup do-or-die against Argentina.

Pre-game entertainment for the Socceroos game will air on the big screen from 2:25am Sunday, December 4.

Football fans are encouraged to head down to the Piazza to show their support, if they’re not already out-and-about in Northbridge on Saturday night.

City of Perth Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas couldn’t be prouder to see the City of Light turn it on in support of the Socceroos.

“It’s a massive fixture against one of the powerhouses of world football,” Mr Zempilas said.

“We want people to be able to come together and watch it as one and the Northbridge Piazza is the perfect venue, so we will be broadcasting the match and all of the build-up live on the big screen.”

Saturday night football festivities will begin in the Piazza with the Netherlands v USA match screened at 10:25pm, followed by the Socceroos v Argentina match.

Sporting their green and gold, fans are encouraged to grab a bite to eat in Northbridge, nab a spot for the pre-game and settle in for the historic showdown and the unmatched atmosphere.

To make it even easier to come into the City and enjoy the game it’s free parking from 6pm – 5:59am at all CPP carparks around the City.
