Kick off the holidays with a slam dunk at HoopsFest, making its Australian debut from 19 to 22 September. This four-day basketball extravaganza will energise Perth with games across three venues and an immersive Fan Zone at Forrest Place.

At the Fan Zone, you can meet players, enjoy live music, watch a slam dunk exhibition on a 3x3 court, and participate in Special Olympics events. Plus, there will be food trucks, various entertainment, and a display of some of the world’s rarest sneakers. For added convenience, free rickshaws will be available for those traveling between Forrest Place and RAC Arena for the basketball games.

The City of Perth Library recently named one of Australia’s ‘Coolest Libraries’ offers a range of engaging activities over the holidays. Explore holiday crafts, join printing workshops, enjoy spooky story time sessions, and get creative with stage makeup workshops. It’s an ideal destination for family fun and creative inspiration during the break!

Elizabeth Quay’s popular outdoor Markets @ the Quay event is back this spring bringing fun for all ages. Enjoy free activities such as train rides on the EQ Express and Carousel, face painting, street performers, and friendship bracelet making. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the sunny season.

Encourage the kids to escape their screens this school holiday and connect with nature at Kings Park! Enjoy a range of free self-guided activities, from painting rock pets to crafting your own noughts and crosses board using materials found around the park. It’s a wonderful way to enjoy the springtime outdoors and spark creativity while exploring one of Perth’s most beautiful green spaces.

With all this and much more on offer, there’s no better place to spend your spring break than the City of Light. Make the most of this lively spring season and check out everything the City has to offer.
