Councillor Bruce Reynolds was elected as Deputy Lord Mayor at a City of Perth Special Council Meeting this evening.
City of Perth Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas congratulated Cr Reynolds on his election as Deputy Lord Mayor.
“I look forward to working side-by-side with him and the rest of my Council colleagues to continue to deliver real progress for our City and its ratepayers, residents, and visitors alike," he said.
“Cr Reynolds has been a great addition to Council since he was elected in 2023 and an outstanding advocate for the Perth community.
“I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank outgoing Deputy Lord Mayor, Cr Clyde Bevan, for his contribution to the role. It’s been a pleasure working with Cr Bevan, and he will obviously continue his role as Councillor and a strong voice for City of Perth ratepayers.
“We have another exciting 12 months ahead of us in the City, and it all begins very soon with Christmas and all the associated events that go along with it right here in the City of Light.”
