The wheels keep on turning for Perth thanks to the $1.7 billion Perth City Deal!
The new bike lane at RAC Arena is increasing connectivity and safety for people walking, wheeling and riding in the area.
As well as the new path connection, in-ground up-lights, stone clad landscape walls, safety railings, turfed areas and modified drainage were upgraded and reinstated to suit the new design.
Some additional pavement markings and wayfinding signage for the shared space at the front of RAC Arena will be installed shortly.
The RAC Arena bike connection path was delivered by the City of Perth, and is one of fourteen active travel infrastructure projects delivered under the Perth CBD Transport Plan, funded by the Australian Government, Western Australian Government and the City of Perth, as part of the Perth City Deal.
Thanks also to VenuesWest and RAC Arena management for their strong contribution to the planning and delivery of this project.
