Back for its 13th year with more than 500 shows across more than 100 venues, FRINGE is set to colour the city pink from 19 January to 18 February.

City of Perth Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas said the city was the place to be this summer, with the vibrancy of FRINGE WORLD adding to the many reasons why thousands of people are flocking to the City of Light.

“We’ve seen record crowds over the summer season and it’s great to carry on this momentum with the ever-popular FRINGE WORLD, bringing colour, entertainment and vibrancy to the city,” he said.

“We’re excited to once again sponsor FRINGE WORLD for 2024, helping to boost our city’s economy, cultural industry, and providing a platform for local artists.”

The City of Perth is also pleased to see the return of the FRINGE Sunday Funday on 21 January. The free, family-friendly event will see Parker Street in Northbridge glowing with bright pink Astro turf from 1pm to 6pm – filled to the brim with activations and entertainment for all.

This year will see the Perth Town Hall transformed into Fantasia – an inclusive and magical themed hub with drag, theatre, cabaret plus a bar, food stalls and art installations to surprise and delight.

The 2024 season will also include a new city venue, L'Euro Grande, which is activating the old European Foods Warehouse on Francis Street. One of the largest venues of the festival, seating more than 800 people, it will showcase the festival’s larger scale headline acts including Hans’ Disco Spektakular all the way from Berlin and 360 All Stars for BMX, basketball, breakdancing, acrobatics, drumming and more.

Presented by ARTRAGE, CEO Jo Thomas said FRINGE WORLD would offer up a menu of tasty treats this summer, full of fun and joy.

“With 48 venues within City of Perth, an average ticket price of only $32 and 23 free events including the giant, family-friendly party Sunday Funday on January 21, we are confident there is something to entice everyone. Perth Pink is everywhere with the unique vibe only FRINGE WORLD can bring to the city,” she said.

In 2022, City of Perth council approved a three-year sponsorship for 2023-2025 of $400,000 annually ($1.2M total).

The City of Perth also supports Fringey Offers, FRINGE WORLD’s business engagement program. You can view all Fringey Offers currently available here.
