Following extensive community consultation in 2024, the City has developed a draft Masterplan that will help meet a need for more community facilities in the City of Perth as well as potentially provide more housing for the area.
The draft Masterplan involves consolidating various sports and community facilities to make the most efficient use of land and available resources, and combining this in a new urban precinct with a mix of uses.
This new precinct will take advantage of its proximity to some of the new infrastructure additions to the City such as the Causeway Bridge, and provide a place for residents and visitors alike to enjoy. It will also enhance the eastern gateway of the City, creating a vibrant new destination.
The draft Masterplan sets the vision and aspirations for the site and has been developed following extensive community consultation throughout 2024, including a detailed site analysis, a Sports and Recreation Needs Analysis, and Market and Economic Assessment.
The draft Masterplan is now available for public comment. The community is invited to share their feedback on the ideas and concepts proposed by completing the survey before 12 March 2025.
