Expression of Interest: World Energy Cities Partnership Conference 2026

The City of Perth invites members of the public, industry, academia and other interested stakeholders to register their interest in attending the public program of the World Energy Cities Partnership (WECP) AGM and Conference 2026 on Thursday 12 November 2026.

Please note: submission of this expression of interest does not guarantee attendance. Registration will be confirmed separately by the City of Perth.

9am Opening Session by the City of Perth Lord Mayor   
9:15am  Panel Session: Hydrogen - Powering the Next
Chapter of the Energy Transition 
Hydrogen is emerging as a critical piece of the
renewable energy puzzle—but unlocking its potential
won’t be without challenges. 
10:30am  Address by the Federal Minister for Resources,
Honourable Madeleine King MP 
Minister King will provide a national perspective on
the opportunities and challenges shaping Australia’s
energy future. 
10:45am  Address by the State Minister for State
Development, Honourable David Michael MLA 
Ministerial Address by David Michael, providing a
Western Australian Government perspective on the
State’s resources, manufacturing and industrial future. 
11am  Morning tea   
11:15am  Panel Session: Roundtable with Delegate
Perspectives - moderated by CCIWA Chief Economist Dr Daniel
Kiely
Bringing together mayors and civic leaders
from across the World Energy Cities Partnership,
this interactive roundtable will provide an
opportunity to exchange perspectives on the
shared opportunities and challenges.
