Fraser's - Botanical Café case study

In a world-class location like Kings Park and Botanic Garden, a café deserves world-class finishes.

Part of the Fraser’s complex, Botanical Café used support from the City of Perth’s Business Improvement Grant Program to refresh its space following a fire.

The team was awarded $20,000 in matched funding, which contributed towards new blinds and high-quality furniture, including tables and chairs.

These upgrades have transformed the space, improving comfort and creating a more inviting and visually appealing experience for customers.

The Business Improvement Grant Program provides matched funding of between $5,000 and $20,000 to support businesses and property owners in delivering projects that enhance the public realm, create engaging experiences and attract increased visitation.

Fraser’s Director Chris Taylor encourages other businesses to explore the opportunity:

“If you’re doing upgrades, new builds or renovations – get on board and follow it through. It’s a huge assistance.”

The 2026/27 Business Improvement Grant Program is open until 27 February 2027, or until the available budget is exhausted.
