Plan your visit
Meeting point
If the weather is fine we recommend assembling on the lawn between St Georges Cathedral and the Library. A Youth Services Team member will meet you five minutes before your booked tour or programme starts. If the weather is inclement, assemble students in the Library foyer by the lifts on the Ground Floor. Please take care to ensure students are not blocking either the lift or stair entrances.
Conduct in the Library
School tours and presentations take place alongside standard Library operations. Please encourage your students to maintain the quiet atmosphere. Students remain the responsibility of teachers at all times.
Food
Food and drink are allowed inside the Library, however there are limited spaces for large groups to sit. The Library's front lawn is recommended for breaks (weather permitting). Alternatively, the tree area on Level Four can accommodate your group.
Baggage
If you have booked a tour, the Library can store school bags for the duration of your visit. Please inform us if bag storage will be required when you book.
