    Across the CBD from Wellington Square through the East End and along Roe Street, we’re incorporating green into all our projects. Streets, parks and your public spaces are being revitalised with more trees, plants and shrubs, developing beautiful, shady spaces that deliver benefits for city liveability.

And that's a wrap! Thank you to everyone who took part in our inaugural Tree Month, throughout May we planted 317 trees with help from the community.

Protecting our oldest trees

The City recently completed works on new 'root bridges' in Stirling Gardens to protect our heritage-listed trees.

The new bridges will help preserve the trees large root systems which were starting to push through the pathways. These trees are amongst the oldest European-planted trees in the City.

Sustainability is one of our strategic pillars

There are plenty of exciting plans in the pipeline to continue making our City even more sustainable. Although we’re well on the way (our projects speak for themselves) it’s a long and busy road. There’s so much more we can all do together.
