The City of Perth is inviting nominations for its Culture and Arts Advisory Group (CAAG) – to ensure the City continues to provide vibrant, cultural activity throughout the year.

Qualified and experienced members of the community are encouraged to apply to be on the group which can have up to 11 positions.

“The City of Perth works closely with the Advisory Group, and is grateful for their time, experience and expertise to ensure the City is a vibrant, cultural and exciting place to live, work and visit,” City of Perth Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas said.

“Arts and culture are an important part of what makes up the fabric of the City, particularly now as Perth welcomes back domestic and international visitors.

“This is an amazing opportunity for an expert in the field to help cement Perth as WA’s culture capital,” he said.

In May 2019, the City of Perth adopted its first Cultural Development Plan, recognising that cultural participation encourages social inclusion, engagement and interaction throughout the City. The Culture and Arts Advisory Group was established as part of this plan.

Interested individuals are encouraged to visit Engage Perth to register their interest and upload a resume and a short biography by 20 April 2022.
