A 500-strong drone show, fireworks and food trucks will light up at Elizabeth Quay this weekend, as the City of Perth welcomes the Lotterywest Festive Lights shows.

This free family-friendly event is back bigger and brighter, lighting up Perth’s iconic riverfront over two exciting nights – Saturday 30 November, and Sunday 1 December, from 5pm to 9pm.

City of Perth Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas said the 500-drone light show would start from 8pm, followed by a dazzling fireworks display.

“This year’s Festive Lights showcase is bigger, brighter, and bolder than ever, and is the perfect way to kick off the festive season,” Mr Zempilas said.

“And of course, families can make the most of our award-winning Rio Tinto Christmas Lights Trail, with both Elizabeth Quay and Barrack Square hosting must-see installations.

“The City of Light continues to shine as Western Australia’s summer events capital. Whether you’re looking for a family outing, a date night, or just a chance to soak up the festive spirit, this event offers something for everyone and every budget.”

There will also be roving performers, live entertainment, hula hoop workshops and a sideshow alley. Attendees can enjoy a selection of food trucks and local eateries scattered throughout Elizabeth Quay, offering something delicious for everyone.

Remember that the City will be lit up with fireworks every Saturday night in December and January!

Make the most of your weekend with three hours of free parking at CPP Cultural Centre, Pier Street, and His Majesty’s car parks.

Join us at Elizabeth Quay to celebrate the start of the most wonderful time of the year. Bring your friends, family, and festive cheer!
