From 9am, footy fans are invited to descend into Forrest Place to celebrate with the victors with a replay of the game on screen.

“Whatever the outcome of the Toyota AFL Grand Final on Saturday, we’re extremely excited to host the 2021 AFL Premiers on Sunday,” City of Perth Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas said.

“The City of Perth is thrilled to host this important part of Grand Final week and I encourage everyone to come into the city on Sunday.”

The City will activate ‘Footy Place’ with team colours and retail booths, including pop up activities for visitors to enjoy in the lead up to the celebration event.

At the conclusion of the match replay, each member of the winning team will be welcomed on stage followed by interviews with key players, captain and coach and a team photo.

“Make it a priority to head into the city and soak up the atmosphere on the day,” Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas said.

“Following the celebrations, grab a bite to eat at the many restaurants around the city or explore the hive of entertainment at the NAIDOC Week celebrations in the Supreme Court Gardens or the AFL Masters at Langley Park.”
