City of Perth Library
The City of Perth Library provides a great selection of books, magazines, newspapers, DVDs and eResources. A perfect place for study, work and contemplation. The Library features a magnificent ceiling artwork and also has bookable meeting rooms, an auditorium, terrace and levels for young adults and families to enjoy.
The City’s library service has been around for 65 years and we continue to evolve to meet the needs of our community. We’re proud to share our Library Strategy 2023-2027.
Library remains open during construction
Work on the exterior of the City’s Library is underway. We’re replacing the existing stone cladding with a safer and more sustainable material that will keep our iconic Library looking spectacular.
A ground-level safety barrier has been set up and the Library is still open for you to enjoy. Please see Engage Perth for up-to-date information.
Our construction teams are hard at work most days between 7am and 7pm, aiming to wrap up by Spring 2025. Your patience and support during this process are greatly appreciated.
