The City of Perth proposes to make a City of Perth Dog Local Law 2025.
Purpose: to make provisions about the confinement of dogs, control the number of dogs that can be kept on premises in the district, and to require removal of dog excreta.
Effect: to extend the controls over dogs which exist under the Dog Act 1976 and Dog Regulations 2013.
A copy of the proposed local law can be found at https://perth.wa.gov.au/council/local-laws.
Alternatively, a printed copy can be obtained from the Customer Experience Centre located on the ground floor of Council House, 27 St Georges Terrace, Perth and the City of Perth Library located at 573 Hay Street, Perth, during opening hours.
Submissions may be made to the Chief Executive Officer, City of Perth, before close of business on the 14 February 2025 and can be emailed to governance@cityofperth.wa.gov.au.
