Ranked as one of the best cities in the world to raise a family, the City of Perth is filled with bucket-list adventures for everyone these April school holidays.
Home to unique and new experiences, there are never-ending options that are sure to fill out the day and keep little hands and minds entertained.
The City of Perth is launching a five-week campaign ‘It’s Playtime in the City’ to encourage children and adults to experience what’s on offer in the city these school holidays, and all year around.
And with plenty of activities for the bigger kids, adults can get involved too. From pop-up arcade games in Forrest Chase, Twilight Hawkers Markets in Yagan Square and the exciting launch of Wellington Square’s intergenerational park, it is all happening this month.
“Perth is a vibrant and safe place to take the kids these holidays. You’ll be amazed with how many fun, unique and new activities are available for families over the April school holidays and all year around,” City of Perth Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas said.
“Take it from me, the city is a place where people of every age and ability can connect, explore, create and relax.
“There are plenty of expansive parklands to explore, where you can pack a picnic from any of the stores around Perth. For the adventurous families, there’s lots to see and do along the Swan River and it is the last chance to really enjoy this wonderful Autumn weather.
“Come out and explore our beautiful and historic buildings and take this opportunity to spend time at the new WA Museum Boola Bardip. In my opinion, it is one of the best museums in the world I’ve ever visited.
“Perth’s been rebooted and there’s lots to see and do. Since we can’t travel overseas just yet, why not take this opportunity to explore your own backyard and support your city.”
Visitors can also take advantage of three-hour free parking on weekends and public holidays until 30 June in three centrally located CPP car parks:
- CPP Cultural Centre car park, 2 Roe Street, Northbridge
- CPP His Majesty's car park, 377 Murray Street, Perth
- CPP Pier Street car park, 87-89 Pier Street, Perth
