  • Outdoor furniture and seating is provided on The Terrace, and it’s a perfect way to round off any successful conference or presentation event in the City of Perth Library Auditorium.

Rules

  • The Auditorium can be booked during and after Library opening hours.
  • Security is required for all after hours hire and must be arranged and approved by the City of Perth Library.
  • A minimum booking of 3 hours is required for the Auditorium and 4 hours for the Terrace.
  • A deposit of $200 will be charged to secure your booking for either space.
  • All prices include GST and are subject to change.
  • The Not-for-Profit (NFP) rate is calculated at 20% off the standard hire rate.
  • Eligibility for the NFP rate is determined at the point of booking and is applied at the City of Perth Library’s discretion.
  • When requesting a quotation please allow time for setup (bump in), and pack down and clean-up (bump out). As a guide, most events involving food and drink will require 1 hour for setup and 1 hour for clean-up.
  • If access to the building is required before Library opening hours, an early access fee will be charged.
  • There will be a 15 minute grace period with bump in and bump out, after which time the hirer will be charged for an additional half hour.

  • What are the AV facilities and Wi-Fi access in the Auditorium?
    The Auditorium features a built-in lectern with a microphone, computer, and projector. Connection to the system is available via HDMI or USB. The use of AV equipment, including live streaming capabilities, is included in the room hire fee at no additional charge. The computer is equipped with cabled internet access, and Perth Wi-Fi is provided for all users on their personal devices within the Library premises.
  • Can we have an Online Meeting or Conference in the Auditorium?
    The Auditorium is equipped with a camera, microphones, and Wi-Fi to facilitate live streaming for your corporate event. Use of the AV kit, including live streaming capabilities, is included in the room hire fee at no extra cost, ensuring a seamless process for your conference or events.
  • Do you provide catering? Can I self-cater?
    The City of Perth Library does not provide catering services; hirers must independently arrange their own catering facilities. Self-catering is permitted with restrictions. Hirers will be required to review of food handling information and complete a food safety plan. The City of Perth Library does not hold a Liquor Licence; however, limited service of alcohol is permitted under the considerations of the Liquor Control Act 1988.
  • What are the parking options?
    The closest City of Perth Parking areas are located on Pier Street or Council House on St Georges Terrace. For delivery of goods or catering for an event, please contact library staff to arrange parking. These options are conveniently located nearby and offer the best parking rates per day.
  • Do I have to pay for security?
    For any event held outside of the Library’s regular opening hours, the attendance of City-approved security guards is required. The expense for security is added to the hire fees and quoted accordingly. These guards are essential for managing access during entry and exit from the conference venue and ensuring the safety of all attendees at your event.
