Flowers are blossoming, the bees are buzzing and there’s a certain warmth in the air.

And as the temperature warms up, so does our city.

“With plenty of creative, interactive and free activities both indoors and outdoors, it’s easy to plan a memorable day out in Perth city this spring,” City of Perth Chair Commissioner Eric Lumsden said.

“A full calendar of events will welcome the season, providing fun for the entire family.”

From Aboriginal walking tours and multicultural fashion parades to wildflower festivals, children’s fairs and crafty experiences, the city is in full bloom.

Plus, there’s endless parks and gardens to explore, stylish boutiques and must-see restaurants to discover.

With something for the whole family - from free film festivals to colourful installations – it’s easy to plan a day out during the spring school holidays.

Set to open in September, the new Palace Raine Square Cinemas will mark the return of a cinematic experience in the Perth CBD.

With free sessions to a selection of new release family films across two weeks of school holidays, there’s every reason to head in with the kids in tow. *

Experience the city as it bursts into life this September and October.
