  • Financial rewards

    Most City employees are employed under one of the City’s industrial agreements, which provide a range of pay and benefits, including:

    • Industry leading salaries
    • Superannuation co-contributions – the City will match additional personal contributions up to 5%, with a maximum total employer contribution of 16.5%
    • Compensation for extra hours worked via flexitime, overtime or time in lieu
    • 12 weeks paid parental leave, provided on top of any Government funded parental leave pay entitlement
    • Access to long service leave after 7 years’ service, and recognition of prior service at other WA local governments (subject to eligibility).
    • Access to novated lease arrangements via Fleetcare
    • Uniforms and tools of trade supplied where applicable
    • Attractive benefits for shift workers such as annualised salary arrangements and additional leave entitlements
  • Work life balance and benefits
    • Access to flexible working arrangements such as flexible start/finish times rostered days off and flexitime (subject to role and operational requirements)
    • Part time and job share arrangements considered
    • Two paid days leave each financial year (repealed public service holiday leave)
    • 17.5% annual leave loading, which can be converted to more time off
    • Ability to take annual leave on half pay, for double the duration!

    • Access to paid and unpaid gender affirmation leave

    • Access to a healthy lifestyle reimbursement of up to $150 per financial year, and a once-off optical eyewear subsidy.
