TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE 
Illuminate Yagan Square – 28th April 2024 from 5am to 11:59pm

Illuminate Yagan Square is a two-day community event, marking the re-development of Yagan Square. This celebration signifies the transformation of our city area into a vibrant urban hub inspired by iconic cities worldwide. Numerous zones will be strategically placed throughout the event, encouraging patrons to explore the newly redeveloped precinct, with surprises around every corner. The event promises a rich array of entertainment experiences, ensuring that the community and families can enjoy hours of amusement.

On Sunday the 28th of April 2024, William Street - between Wellington and Roe Street, known as the ‘Horseshoe Bridge’ - will be closed to traffic. The closure will be in effect between 5:00am to 11:59pm, reopening at 12:00am.

During the scheduled road closure, road signage will be put in place directing all traffic southeast to utilize Barrack Street to cross between Wellington Street and Roe Street.

• Date and Time: The Horseshoe Bridge will be closed on Sunday April 28th from 5am to 11:59pm.
• Affected Area: The road closure will impact William St between Wellington and Roes Street. During these times, access to the area will be temporarily restricted to all vehicle traffic.
• Alternative Routes: Establish alternative routes are established during the closure. These detours will be well-marked and will direct traffic and we kindly request that the public follows these detours to minimize any inconvenience.
