Review of the City of Perth Local Laws

The City of Perth proposes to review the following local laws:

City of Perth Standing Orders Local Law 2009.

The purpose of the local law is to provide the rules for the conduct of meetings of the Council, Committees and electors.

The effect of the local law is intended to result in -
(a) better decision-making at meetings;
(b) the orderly and efficient conduct of meetings; and
(c) greater community understanding of the business of the Council.

City of Perth Dog Local Law 2011
The purpose of this local law is to provide for the regulation, control and management of the keeping of dogs within the district of the City of Perth.
The effect of this local law is to establish the requirements with which owners and occupiers of land within the district of the City of Perth must comply in order to keep dogs and provides the means of enforcing the local law.

City of Perth Health Local Law 2000
The purpose of this local law is to provide for the regulation of matters of public health within the City of Perth including: 
(a) Sanitation,
(b) Housing (including Lodges),
(c) Refuse,
(d) Nuisances,
(e) Pest control,
(f) Infectious diseases,
(g) Offensive trades.
The effect of this local law is to establish the requirements for management of public health matters within the district of the City of Perth and to impose penalties for offences. 

City of Perth Local Government Property Local Law 2005.
The purpose of this local law is to provide for the regulation, control and management of activities and facilities on local government property within the district of the City of Perth. The effect of this local law is to establish the requirements with which any persons using or being on local government property within the district of the City of Perth must comply.

City of Perth Parking Local Law 2017
The purpose of this local law is to provide for the management and regulation of parking within the district. The effect of this local law is to manage parking throughout the district to ensure safe, fair and equitable use and access of parking facilities under the care and management of the local government.

Copies of the above Local Laws may be inspected at the City of Perth Customer Service Centre located on the ground floor of Council House, 27 St Georges Terrace, Perth, and the City of Perth Library located at 573 Hay Street, Perth, during official opening hours; or via the City’s website
