Small Business Grants have been developed to encourage businesses within the City boundary to develop capacity, invest in their premises, promote themselves to the market and build resilience and sustainability.

Deputy Chair of Commissioners Gaye McMath said the City of Perth encourages applicants who have a sound business idea and can demonstrate the capacity to implement it.

“Importantly, the City this year has increased its funding for Small Business Grants, along with introducing a new Event Support Grant,” Ms McMath said.

“Small Business Grants have now been increased from $3000 to $5000, while $2000 has been made available as part of the new Event Support Grants, which aims to boost bricks and mortar businesses through leveraging off other major events held within the city.

“Applications are now open, and will remain open until all funding has been allocated.”

Last year grants totalling $27300 were allocated to nine City of Perth small businesses, with projects including funding contributions towards business fitouts, signage, lighting and CCTV.
