Community, business and promoters with events taking place from 1 August 2019 to 31 January 2020 are encouraged to apply.

Chair Commissioner Eric Lumsden said the grants are important in developing a strong events calendar for the wider community.

“The City of Perth recognises the importance of high quality events and their contribution to the vitality of the City, a strong sense of community and the activation of spaces,” Commissioner Lumsden said.

“These events celebrate diversity throughout the City and help build partnerships between community, business and government bodies.

“If you’re looking to host an event in the near future within the City of Perth, we encourage you to visit our website, and learn more about the grants.”

In previous years, the City has provided grants to events such as the Night Noodle Markets, Brookfield Winter Lights Festival and HBF Run for a Reason.

The current round of arts grants is also open to projects taking place between 1 July 2019 and 29 February 2020.

Applications close for arts grants on 19 February, and event grants on 26 February.
