Freedom of Entry Parade - 10th Light Horse Regiment 2023 - Saturday 25 March
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE - EVENT
The Freedom of Entry Parade – 10th Light Horse Regiment will be held on Saturday 25 March 2023 from 11.30am to 12.30pm on Cathedral Square, Hay Street and in the Hay Street Mall.
Featuring approximately 120 military, horses and armored vehicles of the 10th Light Horse regiment, they will request to enter the City as part of an ancient Freedom of Entry privilege being held by the City of Perth.
Members of the public are invited to witness the parade: Formalities will be conducted at 11.30am in Cathedral square, the parade will step off onto Pier Street at approximately 12.15pm, will move to Hay Street and pause at the intersection of Hay Street and Barrack Street where a challenge will be performed.
After the challenge, the parade will continue marching down Hay Street before dispersing on William Street.
Road Closures:
Please see the map below with locations and times of the road closures. Closures start from 10.00am and all roads will be opened by 1pm. Roads are closed for the shortest possible duration, whilst managing the parade safety.
Please be aware that the Red and Blue CAT are diverted during the road closure and surrounding streets may be affected.
