Cancellation of October 2025 Ordinary Council Meeting and Calling of Special Council Meeting

In accordance with Regulation 12(3) of the Local Government (Administration) Regulations 1996, notice is given that the Ordinary Council Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, 28 October 2025 has been cancelled. The associated Agenda Briefing Session scheduled for 21 October 2025 has also been cancelled.

In accordance with Section 5.5(2) of the Local Government Act 1995, notice is given that a Special Council Meeting has been called for Tuesday, 28 October 2025 commencing at 5.00pm in the Council Chamber at Council House, Level 9, 27 St Georges Terrace, Perth.

This Special Council Meeting has been called for the purpose of:

1. Electing a Deputy Lord Mayor;
2. Assigning seating in the Council Chambers in accordance with the Standing Orders; 
3. Appointing/Nominating Elected Members to Committees and External Bodies; and 
4. Considering items determined by the CEO to be time sensitive due to the cancellation of the October 2025 Ordinary Council Meeting.
