This free, family-friendly event returns for one night only, illuminating Perth’s iconic riverfront from 5pm to 9pm. The night sky will come to life with a Light Show over the Derbarl Yerrigan (Swan River), creating an unforgettable festive atmosphere.
City of Perth Lord Mayor Bruce Reynolds said the 500-drone performance would begin at 8:30pm, followed by a fireworks finale.
“The Festive Lights Showcase is a wonderful way for our community to come together and celebrate the season,” Mr Reynolds said.
“The addition of our floating stage will bring a touch of Christmas magic to Elizabeth Quay, creating a memorable viewing experience for all.
“And of course, everyone is encouraged to explore our award-winning Rio Tinto Christmas Lights Trail, with must-see installations at both Elizabeth Quay and Barrack Square.
“The City of Light continues to shine as Western Australia’s summer events capital, offering something for everyone and every budget.”
Visitors can also enjoy roving performers, hula-hoop workshops and classic sideshow alley attractions. And when it's time to cool off, the Elizabeth Quay Water Park is the perfect place for a splash.
A wide selection of food trucks and local eateries will be serving up delicious bites throughout the evening, with ample seating available so you can relax and savour the experience.
Join us at Elizabeth Quay as we celebrate the most wonderful time of the year. Bring your friends, family and festive cheer!
To make visiting even easier, enjoy three hours of free parking on weekends and public holidays in select City of Perth Parking car parks. View here for more details: 3-Hour Free Parking on Weekends & Public Holidays.
