The city is the only location in WA offering more than 1000 speciality retail stores, the newest and best restaurants and bars, large-scale Christmas and New Year events, all within the buzz of a capital city backdrop. The Christmas Lights Trail is Perth’s annual tradition that threads these unique selling points together for a spectacular six-week offering not to be missed.

The Christmas Lights Trail is the City’s signature event attracting nearly 400,000 people every year and reaching millions through an extensive marketing campaign. It was recently recognised in the 2022 Western Australian Tourism Awards where it received bronze in the Major Events and Festivals category for the 2021 event. It is a massive light spectacle which brings one in five Perth metropolitan residents into the CBD and Northbridge, encouraging visitation and spend at local businesses.
