Mardalup Park
Mardalup Park is rich in history. Once a Noongar camping ground, then a Gas Work site, it is now a place for families and friends to celebrate the beauty of East Perth.
Quietly celebrated by locals as a hidden gem, Mardalup Park features many artworks constructed from materials from the former industrial Gas Works site. Overlooking the Swan River and across from Optus Stadium, the parklands have winding pathways, exercise equipment, barbeque facilities and playgrounds. It’s the perfect spot for an outdoor celebration, picnic and sporting activities.
‘Mardalup’ is a Noongar term for ‘place of small marsupial’.
