Perth Town Hall conservation works
One of Perth’s most iconic landmarks, the award-winning and heritage-listed Perth Town Hall, is due for essential conservation works that will see it close until December 2025.
Due to the nature of the works, the venue will remain closed from 17 June to early December, with the City unable to take bookings before 8 December.
Given the need to close the doors, we’re also taking the opportunity to upgrade the air conditioning system, to ensure this historic venue, first built in 1870, continues to cater for community, cultural and arts events for generations to come.
The air conditioning upgrades will deliver greater energy efficiency and secure the sustainability of the venue, while improving the comfort of our patrons.
These investments align with the Perth Town Hall Heritage Management Plan and our commitment to supporting our cultural heritage and the economic vibrancy of our City.
Who’s undertaking the upgrades?
The works are being carefully managed under the guidance of a heritage architect and builder to preserve the Town Hall’s heritage features.
All works comply with the National Construction Code and are designed to meet future operational needs.
We will keep disruptions to the precinct minimised during the period of works but some noise and perimeter fencing should be expected.
