About this venue
Nestled between the heritage-listed Council House, Government House, and the Supreme Court of WA, Council House Gardens offer a calm and elegant atmosphere in Perth. This beautiful outdoor space, developed as part of the Council House refurbishment in 1999, features manicured lawns, impressive Moreton Bay fig trees, and a vibrant array of flowers, creating a beautiful setting year-round.
The gardens were designed to complement the formal architecture of the Council’s administration buildings while highlighting the historical charm of the preserved trees from the 1860s.
Council House Gardens is the perfect venue for a variety of special occasions, including garden weddings. Whether you're planning an outdoor wedding, a summer event, or any other outdoor function, this venue provides a serene and elegant backdrop for both ceremony and reception guests. It combines natural beauty with historical character, making it a standout choice for your wedding day in Western Australia.
