About this venue
Council House Gardens is an enchanting location for your dream garden wedding, providing a beautiful backdrop for both your outdoor ceremony and reception.
In the heart of Perth, this stunning garden space features manicured lawns and meticulously maintained plantings, creating a serene and intimate escape in the midst of an urban environment.
The truly unique gardens feature a historic Moreton Bay Fig Tree that’s a favourite frame for magical and memorable photos. There are also semi-circular, multi-tiered, grassed areas that create a charming and gracefully structured atmosphere.
This makes the venue particularly attractive for elegant garden weddings, summer social celebrations, or outdoor corporate functions for entertaining clients in an extraordinary formal yet natural setting.
The gardens enjoy unparalleled views of Government House Gardens, the impressive Supreme Court Building, Stirling Gardens, and the heritage-listed Council House – all providing stylish and sophisticated backdrops for capturing those unforgettable moments under Western Australia’s magnificent skies.
The gardens were designed to complement the formal architecture of the Council’s administration buildings, while highlighting the historical charm of preserved trees from the 1860s. With pristine lawns and a kaleidoscope of colour across flower beds, the location offers quiet reflection, and presents unique spots for a personalised, romantic wedding at any time of the year.
The perfect combination of natural beauty, elegant design, and historical character, make this venue a standout choice for your Perth garden wedding.
