Fitness Centres and Gymnasiums
The City is home to a number of fitness centres and gymnasiums. To find one close to you, use the LINCS community directory link (in the right hand panel), select your area , and then type in keywords such as "fitness" or "gymnasium".
Rod Evans Senior Citizens Centre – Recreation Activities for Seniors
Seniors can participate in a range of fun and enjoyable recreation activities available at the Rod Evans Senior Citizens Centre (160 Hay Street, East Perth, 6004).

Heart Foundation Walking Groups
Heart Foundation walking groups meet at the Rod Evans Senior Citizens Centre every Friday morning at 9.30am. Walking groups are a great way to stay fit, healthy and active. Walks are for all levels and abilities and are also a fantastic way to meet new people in the community. Everyone is welcome.
If you are interested in joining a Heart Foundation Walking group as a walker or even a walk leader, please contact Centre Manager, Tina Schwarz on 9325 1507.
Pedometer Loan Scheme
Pedometers are a fantastic way to measure your physical activity levels. The World Health organisation recommends that adults should aim for 10,000 steps each day.
The City of Perth library has a number of pedometers available for loan and all community members all welcome to access them.
'Live it with Line Dancing'
The ‘Live it with Line Dancing’ community event makes available the opportunity for ‘FUN, FITNESS, and FRIENDSHIP’ for individuals with a disability, their friends, family members, and/or caregivers.
Day: Wednesdays
Dates: First Wednesday of every month - 7 October/4 November/2 December
Time: 4.30pm - 6.00pm
Venue: The Shed, 69 Aberdeen Street, Northbridge
Cost: $6 per person
