Paying an Infringement
You may make an online credit card payment (Visa Card or MasterCard) for each of the following infringements using the links on the right side of this page:
- Parking Infringement, (Note: please have your Infringement Number and Vehicle Registration Number ready)
- Local Law Infringement, or
- Animal Infringement.
Please note that infringements are not added to the payments system until the next business day after they have been issued. If you have recently received an infringement and are having difficulties paying online or over the phone, please try again the following business day after 10 am.
Rates Payments
Payment methods are listed below. To make an online payment, please have your Rates Number ready and click the link to the right of this page.
Please note that for Direct Debit payments, an administration fee of $40.00 applies.
| Option One: Up front payment of the total amount (There are no additional costs for this option). Full payment 35 days after the date of issue. Under this option, the ratepayer is automatically entered into a prize draw. |
| Option Two: Two Instalments (This option incurs a $40.00 administration fee and a 5.5% per annum instalment interest charge) All arrears, half the rates, administration fee and instalment interest charge, and the full waste management charge are payable within 35 days of the rate notice being issued. The balance will be payable approximately 2 months later, as indicated on the notice. |
| Option Three: Four Instalments (This option incurs a $40.00 administration fee and a 5.5% per annum instalment interest charge) The City also offers a four instalment plan. All arrears, one quarter of the rates, administration fee and instalment interest charge, and the full waste management charge is payable within 35 days of the rate notice being issued. The balance will be payable in three equal instalments approximately 2 months apart, as indicated on the notice). |
Late payment interest of 11% per annum is charged on all payments oustanding after their due date.
How to Pay
- In person at Council House, Ground Floor, 27 St Georges Terrace, Perth
Payments can be made by Cash, Cheque, EFTPOS or by Credit Card. *
Cashier Hours - Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5.00pm (Excl Public Holidays) - In person at any Australia Post office. Payment is limited to a maximum of $10,000.00
- By mail to City of Perth, GPO Box C120 PERTH WA 6839.
Cheque or money order payments are to be made payable to CITY OF PERTH and crossed "Not Negotiable" - Online by Credit Card *
- By Direct Debit from your Financial Institution (download and complete Direct Debit Form on this page)
- Over the Phone by Credit Card * by calling 1300 366 563.
* Note - Credit card payments are limited to $5,000 per card, per rates account, per year. Only Mastercard and Visa are accepted.

Perth Town Hall booking payments
Online payment may only be made for booking the Perth Town Hall when your booking has been confirmed.
Prior to payment, please ensure you contact the Perth Town Hall Facilities Coordinator on (08) 9229 2965 or email town-hall@cityofperth.wa.gov.au to:
- Check on availability of dates for hire.
- Obtain a quotation.
- Make an appointment to see the Perth Town Hall.
- Make a tentative or confirmed booking.

Pay a City of Perth invoice (Debtor payments)
Online payment may only be made if an invoice has been issued. Please have your 7 digit Debtor number and invoice number (if applicable) ready.
Licensing - paying a license related to a food business
You may make an online credit card payment (Visa Card or MasterCard) for renewal of licences using the link below:
- Online Credit Card Payment (Note: please have your Payment Reference Number and Visa or Master Card Details ready)
Please note that the signed and completed registration form must be returned to the City of Perth. Ensure that all details on your registration form are correct or make the required changes. Should you require a receipt please follow the prompts to enter your email address so that a receipt can be sent to you via email.
Paying an Application Fee (Approvals Unit)
You may make a payment for applications using the following:
- In person at Council House, Ground Floor, 27 St Georges Terrace, Perth
Payments can be made by Cash, Cheque, EFTPOS or by Credit Card. *
Cashier Hours - Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4.30pm (Excl Public Holidays ) - By mail to City of Perth, GPO Box C120 PERTH WA 6839.
Cheque or money order payments are to be made payable to CITY OF PERTH and crossed "Not Negotiable" - Online Credit Card Payment *
* Note - Please note that online credit card payment CAN NOT be used when lodging an Application.
You may make an online credit card payment for outstanding Application, Works Bond, Hoarding/Gantry and/or BCITF Fees.
