Free All Day Motorcycle Parking
Mounts Bay Road Facility
A positive response to the provision of free motorcycle bays in the western part of the city has prompted the Council to extend the Mounts Bay Road bike park out to 2015, the year its State Government planning approval lapses.
The City will also undertake further investigation being undertaken into increasing the capacity of the current unrestricted motorcycle parking bays at Mounts Bay Road.
Northbridge Trial
Since the Mounts Bay parking bays were introduced, the City has received numerous requests from the public for similar trials to be conducted in the Northbridge precinct and the Council has now acted on them.
The Council also approved a proposal in Northbridge to install free unrestricted motorcycle parking bays in both Nash Street (26 bays) and Pier Street (6 bays) on a 12 month trial basis.
It is anticipated that the Northbridge bays will be operational from 21 February 2011 (see proposed Motorcycle Parking Trial locations).
